The water and environment sector has emphasized the dissemination of information and the increased engagement of key stakeholders, ensuring respect for diverse views and a commitment to listening and learning. A total of 30 multi-sectoral dialogues covering various aspects of water, environment, and climate change were held under the framework of six Uganda Water and Environment Weeks (UWEWK), focusing on critical sector issues.

Beyond UWEWK, additional dialogues were conducted, including discussions on rethinking WaSH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), Environment, and Climate Change Financing priorities in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. These dialogues aimed at addressing emerging financial challenges and realigning priorities to meet sectoral needs effectively.

Moreover, significant roundtable and national dialogues were organized, focusing on influencing policy toward market-driven financing of water and sanitation, improving coordination and governance of water resources through a catchment-based Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) approach, and scaling up financing to achieve the 2030 agenda for water, sanitation, hygiene, environment, and climate change.
